FOB Consult Limited T/A Friends of Bamboo is a legal company founded in 2015. It builds bamboo based houses and process bamboo building components as alternative green material. FOB harnesses bamboo in its entire value chain to address challenges of building materials that have high environmental impact. Besides cottages, FOB provides interior designs and products to eco-tourism, hotel and cottage industry that are inclined to green products.
FOB consult was formed by a team of dedicated bamboo enthusiasts and employs 15 full time, and 15-part time staff. The cottage/products’ process integrates the low income communities in the value chain for mutual benefit to both the community and the company.
Manufacture of a range of products along the production process maximizes the full utilization of bamboo whose offcuts otherwise would go to waste thus reducing environmental costs.

Mission of the enterprise is to promote access to decent housing by use of ecofriendly and affordable bamboo as alternative building materials in the eco – tourism and cottage industry. Application of bamboo shall significantly lower the ever high ecological footprint associated with buildings and ultimately conserve the environment.
